Let's not forget the goats!
Our meat goats were brought into the farming operation in 2006 as a way of helping with the chemical-free weed control and also as another source of income.
They informed us right away that we need to make many updates to our fences. We are proud to say that we are almost done with updating the 50-year-old fence. The goats enjoy a forage-only diet. Also, we are using the goats to clean out brush/briar growth in our planted timber.
We sell live goats directly off the farm or packaged goat meat. Try our goat meat, which is an occasional speciality item at the Wooden Nickel restaurant in Hillsborough.
