Let's not forget the goats!
We do have a small but growing herd of meat goats. We brought them into the operation in 2006 as a way of helping with the chemical-free weed control and also as another source of income.
Since then, they have informed us that we need to make many updates to our fences. They are great for letting us know that there is a weak spot in the fence!
We feel that once we have “goat-proof” fences, we will be able to have them in the rotational grazing plan with the cattle and on a forage-only diet. Until then, we will be giving them a small amount of grain to supplement their diet.
At this time, we are selling live goats directly off the farm or packaged goat meat by special order. Please contact us for pricing.
We enjoy the goats and look forward to their growth within the farm operation.
